Riehl Events

This post is long over due....

I have had the pleasure of working with the lovely Jacque Riehl at Riehl Events the past year. Officially, I am the Floral Design Manager which is fancy for doing all their in house floral design. What about Blue Lily you ask? I keep doing it! Yes, I get the best of both worlds!! I have loved working with Jacque and Ashley Winn (check out her blog, you will die, I will post on her later) on different projects and events! We have had the opportunity to do some really spectacular things, which I plan on sharing it all!

The first project I did was the florals for the ad campaign for Utah Bride and Groom 2011. It turned out beautiful! We wanted to create something very ethereal and vintage yet modern with clean lines at the same time. We of course incorporated red since its fashions color of the year! Jacque Lyn did the photography and it turned out amazing! We also worked with Alta Moda for the dress and Enizio for hair and makeup.  Here is what we ended up with!!

To juxtapose the vintage table and candlesticks, I created a Jeff Letham inspired arrangement to give a modern and clean line feel.  By using three different shades of red roses, lipstick red, coral and maroon we were able to add depth and texture to the flowers. I also added touches of chocolate cosmos to the   oversized bouquet and used the cosmos for the boutonnière. Don't you love the mercury glass mirror we used in place of an escort card table!
